Six artists from the Ammersee artists' circle are dedicated to flower power – the assertiveness and thrust of flowers, their resilience, their power to constantly return. The artistic positions range from gestural, abstract painting and expressive colors to a reduced, almost monochrome color palette and intuitive drawings. The tracing of the growth and decay of plants, their before, their existence and what was, is carried out by remembering important art-historical models and analogies in mythology. Completely different pictorial objects emerged through the inclusion of prefabricated objects or natural parts of plants in the process of creating art, or through handling the idiosyncratic material wax, which was reshaped and manipulated.

The pictorial worlds of this exhibition show floral formations, delicate and ephemeral, and yet bursting with strength and power.

The vernissage is on 10.03.2023 at at 7:00 p.m. with the Cosmic Guitar Duo.
A guided tour with the artists will take place on 19.03.2023 at 2 p.m.

The Künstlerkreis Ammersee (KKA) started in 1967 as a loose association of fifteen artists. They came mainly from the Ammersee region. In 1990, KKA became a registered association and was under the patronage of Dr. Thomas Goppel until 2010. The artists' catchment area subsequently expanded to include the Fünf-Seen-Land and Munich. Today, 23 artists belong to KKA.
