Data processing in our programme partner database
The database used to collect programme partner data is created by update AG in Zurich, Switzerland and hosted by Strato in Germany (strato.de). The specifications of the EU-DSGVO are adhered to. Personal data is treated as strictly confidential and is neither sold nor passed on to third parties.
In close cooperation with the hosting providers, every effort is made to protect the databases as well as possible from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or falsification.

General information on the deletion of data
Personal data is generally deleted immediately after the purpose for which it was stored has been fulfilled, insofar as the statutory retention periods do not stipulate an extended retention period (cf. §§ 257 para. 1 HGB: 6 years, 147 para. 1 AO: 10 years) or the retention is necessary for evidentiary purposes. Proper deletion is checked on an annual basis. If the data is not deleted because it is required for other and legally permissible purposes, its processing is restricted.
Security measures of the operator
In accordance with Art. 32 DSGVO, and taking into account the state of the art, the implementation costs and the nature, scope, circumstances and purposes of the data processing, as well as the varying likelihood and severity of the risk to the rights and freedoms of the data subjects, the Operator shall take appropriate organisational, contractual and technical measures on an ongoing basis to ensure that the provisions of data protection law are complied with and to protect the data that is the subject of the data processing against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or against access by unauthorised persons.
Rights of the user
The user has the right to request information at any time as to whether and which of the user's personal data is being processed (Art. 15 DSGVO). Upon request, the user's personal data must be provided in a structured, common and machine-readable format (Art. 20 DSGVO).
Furthermore, the user has the right to have incorrect or incomplete personal data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR) and - under the conditions of Art. 18 GDPR - the right to restrict processing.
Unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims, the user may also request the erasure of his or her personal data (Art. 17 DSGVO).
Consent to data processing within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 a.), 7 DSGVO can be revoked by the user at any time with effect for the future. If the data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 f.) DSGVO, the user may object to the data processing with effect for the future, unless the operator can prove compelling reasons for the processing which are worthy of protection and which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the user, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims of the operator of the website (Art. 21 DSGVO).
If the user is of the opinion that the processing of his or her personal data violates data protection regulations, he or she may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Art. 77 DSGVO).
