As a textile designer, Barbara Weigand has long wanted to create her own fabrics and transform them into individually wearable fashion when she founded her fashion label in 2008. For these very special creations, she decided to cooperate with various artists. Together with them, she has not only realised her long-awaited dream, but also created something unique: Wearable Art.
The high-quality prints are colour-intensive and very rich in contrast, creating the feeling of flowing with the works and becoming part of a whole new way of showing art through clothing. The exhibition "Blossom Couture" presents Diemut von Funck's colour-intensive motifs, translated onto fabric and clothing in context with the original paintings. A firework for the eyes and a colour frenzy for the senses.
The vernissage is on Thursday, September 7 from 17:30 to 20:30.
