The artists Martina B'shary, Isabelle Chretien Brocker, Elke Hack, Marianne Schweigler, Edith Steiner and Eva Zenetti lead through the exhibition.
The artists are unanimous in their artistic approach to the "vital power of flowers": not imitation of nature, but rather the dissolution of form, combined with a detached, autonomous application of paint. Nevertheless, the artistic positions are different. They range from gestural, abstract painting and expressive colors to a reduced, almost monochrome color palette and intuitive drawings. The tracing of the growth and decay of the plants, their before, their existence and their being, occurs on the one hand through the memory in the painting process of important art-historical models, on the other hand of analogies in mythology.
Completely different pictorial objects were created through the inclusion of prefabricated objects or natural plant parts in the process of creating art, or through handling the unconventional material wax, which was reshaped and manipulated.
