"Perhaps I owe it to flowers to have become a painter," said Claude Monet (18401926), and so it is not surprising that he moved to Giverny in 1883 to create a garden dream around his house, which became the central motif of his art. It was here that he created his great masterpieces, which made him world famous. To this day, this paradise enchants garden and art lovers from all over the world.
