Flower Bauer Munich

Agriculture and biodiversity in the city
Walking route around urban farmland
until 22.10.2023

Garden & Park, Exhibition
Agricultural Experience Trail
Department of Climate and Environmental Protection, Re:think München and Department of Communal Services, Stadtgüter Munich

Within their agricultual practice the Stadtgüter München contribute to Munichs biodiversity in many ways. Walkers can follow the Munich FlowerBauer along the signposted walking route and find out which habitats for plants and animals the Stadtgüter provide. Five theme stations invite to learn more about agriculture and biodiversity, to puzzle and to think beyond.

The project is a cooperation of the Department of Climate and Environmental Protection and the City of Munichs owner-operated enterprise Stadtgüter München within the frame of Munichs biodiversity strategy to show the synergies between an ecological, multifunctional urban agriculture and biodiversity.

The walking route is equally suitable for adults as well as for families with children aged 6 and over. Stop for refreshment and snacks at the BeerenCafé Savitstraße.

Lenght/Duration of the route: approx. 2,2 km / approx. 25 min

The project started in July 2023, the flowering phase of the flowering strip could be seen from mid-July 2023. After a summer full of flowers, the flowering strip has now faded. For more information or updates on this or other projects, stay informed at: rethink-muenchen
