But what drove the street artists of the time to develop such colorful counter-designs to the monumental architecture of the inner city that had stood the test of time for decades? How did the new style get its name? And how can you actually recognize a typical Art Nouveau building?
In addition to all these questions, however, the main thing to do during the walk is to marvel and enjoy. After all, such exuberance was not always "en vogue", so that today we can be especially pleased about the still preserved gems.
