On the occasion of the 75th anniversary, the exhibition "New Blossoms  – Nymphaea Agens" features works by 35 renowned contemporary artists of the Munich "Seerosenkreis", providing insights into their current work. In addition to various painterly approaches, positions of photography, wall artists, sculptures and spatial installations are also on display.

Once founded by "entartet"  (from the perspective of National Socialism: degenerate) artists in the post-war years, the Seerosenkreis has been an important and multi-layered platform for art and culture in Munich for 75 years. During the exhibition, there will therefore also be an evening of readings on the theme of "visual art" by representatives of the literary Seerose.

During the exhibition period, at least one of the artists on show will always be present and can provide more in-depth insights: Hilde Seyboth, Erica Heisinger, Ekkeland Götze, Martin Blumöhr, Tobias Krug, Elke Lausberg, Volker Kittlaus, Doris Hahlweg, Ute Sattelberger, Rita Mühlbauer, Albert Lohr, Katinka Schneweis, Barbara Kirchner, Elis Hoymann, Reinhard Fritz, Sybille Hochreiter, Jochen Sendler, Hans Fuchs, Erwa, Karl lmhof, Hans Schork, Roy Hessing, Dorit Winzens-Bredernitz, Walter Korn, Vera Botterbusch, Jock Saller, Ernst Krebs, Baldur Geipel, Alexandra Fromm, Gerd Scheuerer, Judith Jansen, Sabine Fisch, Elisabeth Heindl, Giesela Brunke-Mayerhofer, Claudia Hassel.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Cultural Department of the City of Munich and the BA 12.

The Munich Seerosenkreis symbolises a not insignificant part of Munich's post-war culture to this day. Since 1948, renowned Munich artists have been coming together for a joint dialogue and organising cross-genre projects and exhibitions. This year, the circle celebrates its 75th anniversary with the exhibition "Neue Blüten - Nympheae Agens".
