For our ancestors it was quite natural to grow a part of the plants every year specifically for seed propagation. Why is it still beneficial today to propagate seeds yourself and how does it work? This seminar will start with some very easily propagated vegetables such as tomatoes, beans, lettuces and wildflowers. The participants will learn the most important criteria for seed propagation, what the difference is between seed-stable seeds and F1 hybrids, and how to keep the home-grown treasures well. Seed-stable seeds can be brought along for swapping.

Christine Nimmerfall worked for many years for Bund Naturschutz as an environmental consultant. She is a trained herb educator and gives many lectures, workshops and herb excursions.

Munich Public Library

Public libraries provide people with media of all kinds, teach media literacy and thus enable participation in social life. These are also the tasks of the Munich Public Library. It is a lively metropolitan library that sees the diversity of the city's society as a challenge and takes it up in its services.
