In the late 19th century, the former hunting lodge Fürstenried gained sad notoriety because Bavaria's ailing King Otto was kept here. Unlike the interior of the palace, the baroque garden remained almost unchanged. From 1880 it was extended by Carl von Effner according to the taste of the Gründerzeit. The participants will discover precious old trees, pergolas, fountain sculptures and climb the artificial hill for the former view of the Alpine chain and learn more about the original baroque use of the palace and park.
