Lust auf München? – City Walks

This varied guided tour moves between the Olympiazentrum subway station, Connollystrasse in today's Olympic Village, the athletes' former village of women, and the Olympic venues – and probably without having to dodge a single car. Because when Munich was awarded the contract to host the Olympic Games almost 60 years ago, sustainable planning was carried out here and traffic was blocked out or banished underground.

Especially in the park with the Olympic stadium, hall and swimming pool in front of the lake and the Olympic mountain, one can still sense the principles of the time to hold the Games in a green setting. Sports facilities, roof construction and landscape form an artistic unity, thanks to the collaboration of architects, designers and landscape planners, which today makes the park a popular recreation area among Munich's residents. In other words, it’s a great backdrop for mentally immersing yourself in the time of 50 years ago.
