Exhibition
Botanical Garden Munich-Nymphenburg

Few are aware of how many types of fruit, vegetables and cereals were traditionally grown in Bavaria. The Thanksgiving exhibition gives an insight into the regional treasures of our cultivated plants.

Together with TAGWERK e.V., a special focus in this year's exhibition is on seed-proof crop varieties. In contrast to hybrid varieties, which are the result of crossing, seed-proof varieties retain all their properties the next time they are sown. They are often robust, old varieties that represent a valuable, traditional heritage in agriculture.
