Munich-based collector, author, and curator Reinhard Grüner will personally present works from his unique and large private collection of modern artists' books in a lecture in keeping with the festival's theme.

In addition to artists' books, he will also present old prints – e.g. Grandville's "Les Fleurs Animees" with hand-colored illustrations, a herbal book from 1706, various volumes of the series "Das Buch der Welt" from the 19th century with hand-colored lithos, as well as books from the Flower Power era of the 1960s.

Reinhard Grüner has been collecting modern artists' books since 1976. In addition to his fascination with these works of art in book form, most of which are published in small editions or as one-offs, he organizes book art exhibitions with his collection and is also an author on the subject. He is equally passionate about examples of book illustration through the centuries
