The railroad line between Buchenau and Grafrath, which has been in operation since 1873, used to run through densely wooded areas, which was a fire hazard in the days of the steam locomotive. Therefore, a wide aisle was cut into the forest, which has developed into one of the most species-rich biotopes in the west of Munich. During the approximately four kilometer of hike to the Schöngeising S-Bahn station (where the event ends) the participants will discover native wild herbs, they will receive recipe ideas and taste wild herb spreads. The event takes place in all weathers.
