The artists Manuela Franz and Gabriele Steinlechner share an enthusiasm for expressive colours. For this double exhibition, they focus on expressiveness, effect and colour intensity in the multifaceted world of flowers and blossoms – from representational flower arrangements to abstract seas of blossoms.
The variety of colours, which are partly used in strong colour application, but also in delicate and filigree nuances, are the focus of Manuela Franz's works. Inspired by nature in all its facets, she creates paintings that do not depict, but only reflect a moment.
In Gabriele Steinlechner's work, citrus-coloured blossoms, bright red buds or bright green leaves find their way out of reality and into an expressionist dream world.
The vernissage on 9 March from 19.30 to 21.00 is a wonderful opportunity to talk to the artists in person.
