In the middle of the moraine landscape west of the Ammersee lies Sankt Ottilien with its abbey church. Elisabeth Tratter shows the great botanical diversity of this area: moisture-loving tall herbaceous meadows with meadowsweet and loosestrife, open, stony soils with colorful vegetation and a densely overgrown pond to linger. Poppies and cornflowers shine in the fields (walking distance about 9 km).
