Express Yourself in Colour!

Flower arranging with Arjen Huese
To discover and try out: Which colours and colour combinations suit a person and her mood best?
11:00

Workshop
Stadtbibliothek Sendling
Munich Public Library

In the workshop with Arjen Huese, everyone can discover and try out which colours and colour combinations best reflect his own mood. Contrasting or tone-in-tone, pastel or colourful, cool or warm shades – everything is possible. The charismatic flower gardener illustrates the effects of the various combinations of shape and colour in flower arranging. Then the participants can get creative with freshly cut Slowflower flowers from his nursery on Lake Chiemsee and make their own bouquet.

Arjen Huese was born in the Netherlands and has been a flower gardener in Bad Endorf in Chiemgau since 2020. He binds up to 100 bouquets every week for organic shops and flower shops in the region. He uses biodynamic preparations to support the vitality and durability of the flowers. In addition, Arjen breeds new cut shrub varieties such as phlox, coneflower and yarrow.

Public libraries provide people with media of all kinds, teach media literacy and thus enable participation in social life. These are also the tasks of the Munich Public Library. It is a lively metropolitan library that sees the diversity of the city's society as a challenge and takes it up in its services.
