Intoxicated by colours and shapes, Gudrun Michel captures the enchanting moments when flowers open and unfold their magic. She is particularly taken with peonies in their delicacy and diversity. This is how she creates works of impressive colour intensity with a cheerful, sensual aura. The colours pink, red, turquoise and orange radiate pure summer energy from the canvases. The painter applies the colours sometimes impasto, sometimes glazed, to create colour spaces and depth. Lines of pastel and oil crayons are included in the painting process. The opulence of the paintings reflects the abundance of lavish nature and the colourfulness of summer. The exhibition is a feast for the senses.
The opening of the exhibition will be on 14 July 2023 at 6 p.m.
