The connection between nature, the seasons and music is a project close to the heart of Japanese pianist and performer Masako Ohta.

As part of the Flower Power Festival, the musician presents and interprets flower songs from her homeland as well as pieces from the classical music repertoire at the AtelierMuseum am Schwabinger Bach. She elicits her multi-layered sound worlds from a wide variety of instruments such as keyboard, a historical piano and the electronic Taishogoto, a Japanese box zither.

Inspired and framed by selected haikus (in original language with translation) and poems, this afternoon blossoms into a special experience in an extraordinary atmosphere. The current exhibition "REFLEX – 3 Künstlerinnen – 3 Positionen" with works by Magda Bittner-Simmet, Nina Annabelle Märkl and Anja Uhlig can be visited free of charge before and after the event.
