To arrange a few flowers, leaves and twigs and thus create something very special, an asymmetrical, three-dimensional work of art in line, shape and color, that is Ikebana. In 1927 Sofu Teshigahara founded the Sogetsu School. His motto was: Ikebana can be practiced by anyone, at any time, in any place, with any material and any vessel. In the style of the Sogetsu Ikebana School, Tokyo, the participants create arrangements in bowls and vases.
