Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments and Sites

The Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments and Sites is Bavaria's central specialist authority for monument protection and preservation. Its main tasks are to maintain the list of monuments and to advise institutions and citizens. It advises on the conversion and renovation of listed buildings and accompanies archaeological excavations. It preserves Bavaria's archaeological and architectural heritage.
