It is a very special experience to paint directly in the nature. People are inspired and relaxed by the sky, light and landscape. The blooming garden in the Westpark is a fantastic place for drawing and painting in front of nature: the lakes, hills and valleys of the Westpark invite to walk and relax; the Rose Garden, the China and Japan Garden, the Nepalese Pagoda and the Thai Sala offer delightful motifs, as does the MVHS Garden across from the Nestroy-Garten restaurant.
In the event of bad weather, there is the possibility to shelter at the MVHS garden or to use the studio at the Harras.

The Munich Volkshochschule (MVHS) is the largest adult education center in Germany and was founded at the end of the 19th century. Its program for the state capital of Munich and the municipality of Grünwald in the south of Munich includes around 18,000 courses, lectures, seminars, excursions, exhibitions and cultural events each year, with around 270,000 participants.
