The artist Laura Klodt-Bußmann (Academy of Fine Arts) and the floral designer Jakob Langreiter reflect on their everyday work together in a flower store. The majority of their orders are based on a subscription service. The floral arrangements are mostly created for a specific type of space, which they recreate in the exhibition: a kind of waiting area/reception – a transitional area to the spaces that actually matter. An unnatural (urban) space that is meant to gain vibrancy and naturalness through the flowers, putting those waiting in a certain mood. At first glance, her flower arrangements look like real bouquets, but on closer inspection they reveal themselves to be a collection of dried flowers and non-flowers made from edible and recycled materials. The flower – a shady and short-lived affair in our society.

The vernissage will take place on March 19, 2023 at 11:30 am.

Curt Wills Foundation

The Curt Wills Foundation promotes contemporary art, song, dance and music and sees itself as a bridge builder between the disciplines. Artists are supported and encouraged on their way in exhibitions, with an annual sponsorship award and with a residency. The founder particularly believes in the power of art and culture in our society and is also interested in an interdisciplinary approach.

The foundation has achieved what the founder has practiced all his life: Bringing beautiful things together, viewing art, nature, water, people as an inseparable unit of life and creating opportunities to shape this immediate with the means of art.
