Whether basil, thyme or caraway: the list of the kitchen herbs could be continued for a long time. They make the food not only versatile and tasty, but also digestible and healthy. How did these herbs find their way into the kitchens? What are their distinguishing ingredients? Dr. Ehrentraud Bayer (former deputy director of the Botanical Garden) will explain cultural history and botanical peculiarities and treat you to small samples. The following Saturday you will experience the diversity of culinary herbs in the Botanical Garden.
